This a big two weeks desert expedition to see Egypt's western desert oases, after Giza it goes north-west then south in the desert, then to the east to reach to the red sea. In this tour we shall see many oases, historical sites, ancient egyptian temples, the north coast, the red sea beaches then visit Abu Simbel temple, and much more!

The Pyramids of Giza and Saqqara.
Visit the Pyramids of Giza and Saqqara, lunch in restaurant later visit the Egyptian Museum. (Dinner in the hotel or on a floating restaurant on the Nile or at a local restaurant in Khan El Khalily zone).
Day 3: Start the desert safari in the morning. Meet with your safari team at 8:00 am and drive directly to the north coast the following route:
Cairo / El Alamein / Marsa Matruh (440km)
This long day drive will be enhanced by a visit to the World War II Memorials and cemeteries at El Alamein at
km 250. After Lunch continue driving along the coastal road of the Mediterranean Sea to Marsa Matruh at km 440 for dinner and overnight at Hotel in Marsa Matruh.
After breakfast start a city tour visiting Romel's hideout and Cleopatra beach then proceed to Agiba for a picnic lunch. After that, take the desert road heading south to Siwa (300km) where arrival is foreseen by sunset time.
We will celebrate our safe arrival to Siwa Oasis by a romantic view of the sunset at Fatnas Island looking at the gigantic sand dunes of the Great Sand Sea Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Siwa (choices are Siwa Paradise or Shali Lodge).

Siwa Oasis.
Siwa is the westernmost oasis in Egypt. It is unique in its history, traditions, people and natural beauty. Alexander the Great, after conquering the country, came all the way here to consult the famous Oracle of Amun.

We will visit historic sites such as the temple of the Oracle, Shali, Gebel El Mawta in addition to the oasis most famous spring (Cleopatra spring). Lunch will take place in the city center restaurant.
By the sunset we will drive to Bir Wahid at the fringes of the Great Sand Sea and camp near the hot spring, BBQ dinner and overnight.

Day 6: After breakfast, drive out of the oasis on the old asphalt road heading east to Bahareya Oasis. On the way you will enjoy the natural beauty of the desert visiting lakes, sand dunes, and collecting fossils from the desert ground. Lunch en route, dinner and overnight at hotel in Bahareya (choices are the Hot Spring Hotel, Palm Hotel or the Bishmo Hotel).

Day 7: After breakfast, visit the museum of the golden mummies, Bawiti, and Tomb of Benintiue at Qasr Selim the capital of Baharia in Pharaonic times. Later visit the district of Hayz (35 km from Bawiti), which was a very prosperous area during the Roman period. Lunch en route. In the afternoon, drive to the White Desert, a paradise for rock hounds and amateur geologists, with its impressive limestone formations shaped like giant mushrooms or mythical animals. Dinner and overnight camping.

Day 8: After breakfast, drive to Farafra Oasis And visit the village of Qasr El Farafra and its quaint museum of local art, lunch en route. Proceed to Dakhla Oasis to visit El Qasr, the old capital of the Oasis, with its picturesque ancient Islamic buildings built over the foundations of a Roman city. Dinner and overnight will be at hotel. (choices are Bir El Gebel, Mobarez, Mut).

Day 9: After breakfast, drive to Balat and visit The Mastaba of Khentika the governor of the oasis in the old Kingdom (6th Dynasty). Continue to Kharga Oasis, with lunch en route, visiting villages. Dinner and overnight camping at the area of Qasr Labekha.

Day 10: After breakfast, visit the temple of Hibis (built by Darius the Persian king). Later, visit the domed mausoleums of Bagawat, one of the best-preserved early Christian cemeteries in the world, after lunch take enough time either to visit the museum of the New Valley or make shopping at the factories of Carpets and Kelim, pottery and dates. After the visit, drive to hotel New Hamadalla village for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: After breakfast, leave the oasis heading south, on the way visit the temples of Qasr El Ghuweita, Qasr El Zayan and finally the temple of Dush, the southern most remote Roman Temple on Darb El Arbaeen (The Road of the 40).

Day 12: Visit the Nile west bank's most famous tombs and mortuary temples and the Nile east bank gigantic temples, with lunch in-between and later drive to Hurghada at the red sea coast with the police escorted convoy. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Days 13 and 14: Visit the colossal Abu Simbel Temple then drive to Aswan. After that, visit Luxor city and its famous ancient egyptian temples. Leave to Cairo (arrival foreseen at evening).
