SILICA GLASS.
Yellow to green translucent stone found only in the Great Sand Sea due to a sudden heating of the sand caused by an ancient meteor.

A recent research proved that the rare semi-precious stone in the middle of the Tut Ankh Amun's royal pectoral that is kept in The Egyptian Museum in Cairo, is a silica glass.

On the 10th day of the tour you will have the chance to see this stone in its original location.

WADI ABD EL MALEK.
Wadi Abd El Malek is a hidden valley cutting the Gilf plateau from north to south for 90 km. It was mistakenly believed to be the legendary lost oasis named 'Zarzoura' that was famous for keeping its hidden treasures.

During the safari you will have time to discover this valley and camp on its soft ground. You will also see some unexpected vegetation and maybe traces of animals like gazelles that dwell in the area.
