- DAY
1:
Drive to the Bahareya Oasis on surfaced road. Visit the Museum of
the Golden Mummies, Bawiti and Tomb of Benintiue at Qasr Selim the
capital of Bahareya in Pharaonic times. Lunch en route. Dinner and
overnight in hotel.
- DAY
2: After breakfast, visit
the district of Hayz and the Black Desert (35 km from Bawiti), which
was a very prosperous area during the Roman period. Lunch en route.
In the afternoon, drive to the white Desert, a paradise for rock
hounds and amateur geologists, with its impressive limestone formations
shaped like giant mushrooms or mythical animals. Choose a selected
location for camping then take enough time to watch the unique view
of the sunset in this magical spot of the world while the fire camp
is getting prepared. BBQ dinner and overnight camping.
- DAY
3:
After early breakfast, drive to Farafra for a short visit to the
village of Qasr El Farafra and the Museum of Local Art, later proceed
to Bahareya for lunch before driving back to Cairo where arrival
is foreseen by sunset.
